Mike maintains his cover by acting like an ordinary IMC employee. Every morning, the same small rituals.

〜を vs 〜が — which particle?
「〜を」 = object of an action verb.
「〜が」 = subject or what “is” / “exists”.
- コーヒーを 飲みます = drink coffee (action on object)
- コーヒーが あります = there is coffee (existence)
〜で (place of action) vs 〜へ (direction)
「〜で」 = where action happens. 「〜へ」 = where you move to.
- カフェで コーヒーを 飲みます = drink at café (action there)
- カフェへ 行きます = go to café (movement toward)
Verb forms — ます-form (polite)
All N5 verbs end in 「ます」 in polite form. Stem changes:
- 飲む → 飲みます
- 食べる → 食べます
- 見る → 見ます
- 買う → 買います
- する → します
- 来る → 来ます

Scene: Mike at a café for daily surveillance. The waiter comes to take his order.
