Mini Story

Mike is buried deep in IMC now. 〜で vs 〜と — particle precision

「〜で」 = by means of (bus, train, foot, etc.) — instrumental.
「〜と」 = with (a person).

• バスで = by bus
• 友達ともだちtomodachiと = with a friend

Walking is special: 「歩あるaruいて」 (not 「足あしashiで」).

〜へ vs 〜に — direction

Both can mark destination. 「〜へ」 emphasizes direction (toward), 「〜に」 emphasizes arrival point. In N5 lessons, 「〜へ」 is taught for movement.

• 日本にほんNihonへ 行いiきます = go to Japan
• 家うちuchiへ 帰かえkaeります = return home

Dates: 〜月げつgetsu 〜日にちnichi + に

Use 「に」 with specific dates:

• 7月がつgatsu15日にちnichiに = on July 15
• 2026年ねんnen6月げつgetsu4日にちnichiに = on June 4, 2026

Day-of-week needs 「〜曜日ようびyoubiに」 too: 日曜日にちようびnichiyoubiに = on Sunday.
