〜を vs 〜が — which particle?

「〜を」 = object of an action verb.

「〜が」 = subject or what "is" / "exists".

• コーヒーを 飲のnoみます = drink coffee (action on object)
• コーヒーが あります = there is coffee (existence)

〜で (place of action) vs 〜へ (direction)

「〜で」 = where action happens. 「〜へ」 = where you move to.

• カフェで コーヒーを 飲のnoみます = drink at café (action there)
• カフェへ 行いiきます = go to café (movement toward)

Verb forms — ます-form (polite)

All N5 verbs end in 「ます」 in polite form. Stem changes:

• 飲のnoむ → 飲のnoみます
• 食たtaべる → 食たtaべます
• 見みmiる → 見みmiます
• 買かkaう → 買かkaいます
• する → します
• 来くkuる → 来きkiます
