Mini Story

Eyes and Ears.

On a rooftop across the street, Mike watches the target’s window. Once, when they had him cornered, he surprised them all.街对面的屋顶上，麦克盯着目标的窗户。从前被逼到绝境的时候，他让所有人都吃了一惊。街對面的屋頂上，麥克盯著目標的窗戶。從前被逼到絕境的時候，他讓所有人都吃了一驚。Trên nóc nhà bên kia đường, Mike nhìn chăm chăm vào cửa sổ của mục tiêu. 通とおtooりの向むmuかいの屋上おくじょうokujouで、マイクは標的ひょうてきhyoutekiの窓まどmadoを見みmiつめる。かつて追おoい詰つtsuめられた時ときtoki、彼かれkareは皆みなminaを驚おどろodoroかせた。

Through the long lens, the room comes in — clear.隔着长镜头，那个房间看得清清楚楚。隔著長鏡頭，那個房間看得清清楚楚。Qua ống kính dài, căn phòng ấy hiện lên rõ mồn một.

His ear is sharp — but on paper, still only the soft kana.他的耳朵很灵——但在纸上，还只认得那些柔软的假名。他的耳朵很靈——但在紙上，還只認得那些柔軟的假名。Tai anh rất thính — nhưng trên trang giấy, vẫn chỉ đọc được những chữ kana mềm mại.

見みmiえます vs 見みmiられます — what's the difference?

見みmiえます = naturally comes into view (no effort): 山やまyamaが見みmiえます。
見みmiられます = able to see by choice/opportunity: 映画えいがeigaが見みmiられます。

Same for 聞きkiこえます (naturally audible) vs 聞きkiけます (can hear by choice).

〜しか always wants a negative

「しか」 cannot take a positive verb. It replaces を/が and forces the negative form:

• 百円ひゃくえんhyakuenしかありません。(I have only 100 yen.)
• ひらがなしか読よyoめません。(can read only hiragana)
