Key Sentences
1. 〜ば (conditional — if/when, hypothetical)
コードを いれれば、金庫が 開きます。
- If you enter the code, the safe opens.
- 如果输入密码，保险箱就会打开。 / 如果輸入密碼，保險箱就會打開。
- Nếu nhập mã, két sắt sẽ mở.
2. 〜なければ (negative condition)
今 行かなければ、間に 合いません。
- If we don’t go now, we won’t make it.
- 如果现在不走，就赶不上了。 / 如果現在不走，就趕不上了。
- Nếu không đi ngay, sẽ không kịp.
3. 〜なら (given that / if it’s the case)
情報が ほしいなら、おれに 聞け。
- If it’s information you want, ask me.

4. どう すれば (how should / what if)
どう すれば、ここから 出られますか。

Grammar Patterns
ば conjugation; なら usage.
V-ば (conditional)
Group I: -u → -eba (入れる→入れれば; 行く→行けば). Group II: -る → -れば (見る→見れば). い-adj: 〜い→〜ければ (高い→高ければ). Hypothetical 'if A, then B'.
〜なければ (negative)
From the ない-form: 行かない→行かなければ = if (one) doesn't go. (Same root you met in 〜なければなりません, L17.)
〜なら
Takes up a topic just raised: 「情報なら、おれに聞け」 = (speaking of) information, ask me. Often translates 'if you mean / if it's about ～'.

〜ば vs 〜たら vs 〜と
- 〜ば: hypothetical, general 'if'; common in conditions & proverbs.
- 〜たら (L25): most versatile; one-time/after.
- 〜と (L23): automatic/natural result.
〜なら — taking up the topic
Use なら to respond to something just mentioned: 「京都? 京都なら、秋がいいです。」 = Kyoto? If it's Kyoto, autumn is best. It sets a condition based on the other person's words.
